Michael Crawford reunited with Lloyd Webber in the Wizard of Oz
Michael Crawford has announced he will work with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber again in his new role in the musical production of the Wizard of Oz.
The actor, famous for his character Frank Spencer in the sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, will join forces with the musical genius after playing Lloyd Webber's original Phantom of the Opera 24 years ago, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Crawford will take the role of the wizard in the theatre production of the 1939 movie.
Speaking with the newspaper, he said: "I've been fortunate working with Andrew before so I thought there was no harm in trying again. We're all very excited about the show."
Dorothy will be played by Danielle Hope, 18, who won the role in May 2010 after being chosen in the BBC talent show Over the Rainbow.
Crawford's last reunion with Lord Lloyd Webber came in 2004 when he performed as Count Fosco in the West End production of The Woman in White.
