Ne-Yo creates comic book for new album
Ne-Yo fans who are looking forward to the release of the performer's new album will also soon be able to get a special comic book.
The singer has joined forces with Stan Lee, the former president of Marvel Comics and creator of characters including Captain Marvel and Iron Man, to create the book.
Set to be released to coincide with his new CD and fourth studio album Libra Scale, it will feature Ne-Yo as part of the strip as a character named Jerome who receives superpowers on the condition that he does not fall in love.
He told the Daily Star: "I've been a fan for years. I'm trying not to geek-out being with Stan."
The 27-year-old added that he loved having the opportunity to blend together his love of comic books and music.
Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, first achieved chart success in 2006 with the release of his debut album In My Own Words, which featured the hit singles So Sick and Sexy Love.
