The Show Returning for the Festive Season Following its Run in the West End this Summer

Year after year, the Horrible Histories franchise is proving to be an unbeatable force in the West End, offering children an educational and entertaining glance at the UK’s history. With that in mind it is no surprise that the show is set to return this summer with Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part 3, with a run at the Garrick Theatre, and now news emerges – courtesy of Official London theatre -  that another run is lined up at the Vaudeville this Christmas.

With Barmy Britain Part 3, audiences are treated to a hilarious glimpse into Britain’s past once again. First time around we saw facts surrounding the likes of Guy Fawkes and Henry VIII and then moved on to the likes of Elizabeth I and William Wallace in Part 2. Now we move on to events such as the Great Fire of London and the First World War, whilst well known historical figures get a look-in such as King Charles, King John, the Duke of Wellington and Admiral Nelson, the name but a few.

The show stars Neal Foster, who also writes the production, and he appears having worked extensively with the Birmingham Stage Company (who present this show). His credits include The Fire Maker’s Daughter, Skellig Twelfth Night, Proof and Danny The Champion Of The World, amongst others, with the company, plus television roles like Line Of Duty and Hustle.

Horrible Histories is a well known brand. It started as a famous book series by Terry Deary and blossomed into a television and stage series as well. It offers an entertaining and amusing look at the world’s history whilst offering an educational slant as well, with the book series covering everything from the Tudors to the Egyptians.

The production heads to the Garrick Theatre, the current home of Beatles musical Let It Be, next month and then continues over the summer. But fans that miss out during these warmer months will now have another opportunity to see Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain Part 3 when it runs at the Vaudeville Theatre from Friday 11th December 2015 to Sunday 3rd January 2016.
