New Cast for Jersey Boys as its Anniversary Nears
Nicola Brazil, Dan Burton and Tee Jaye Among Those Headed to the Prince Edward Theatre from March 2012
The hit production of “Jersey Boys” will be marking its fourth anniversary at the Prince Edward Theatre in March, becoming one of many London shows to get a long-running foothold in the capital. At the same time, it has been revealed that various new cast members will be heading to the stage, some of who have already been a part of the show and others that are completely new.
Of those returning, Nicola Brazil will take on the role of Mary Delgado, with Dan Burton set to portray Joe Pesi, and Tee Jaye as Barry Belson. They are joined by newcomers Ben Jennings, Howard Jones, Edd Post and Gemma Whitelam. They join the ongoing cast members from Tuesday 13th March 2012, with the anniversary of the production taking place less than a week later on Sunday 18th March 2012.
Nicola Brazil has previously appeared in a wide range of musicals in the West End, from shows that have been and gone, such as “Hairspray” at the Shaftesbury Theatre, “All the Fun of the Fair” at the Garrick Theatre and “Grease” at the Piccadilly Theatre”, to those that continue to pull in a crowd. In the latter category she has been seen in “Wicked” at the Apollo Victoria Theatre and “Legally Blonde the Musical” at the Savoy Theatre. She has also been seen in touring productions and in other venues around the capital.
Someone else that has previously been seen in “Legally Blonde the Musical” is Dan Burton, whose credits also include “Dirty Dancing” at the Aldwych Theatre and “Chicago” at the Cambridge Theatre, in addition to a national tour of the United Kingdom in “Miss Saigon”.
The cast will continue to include Ryan Molloy (plus Jon Lee), Matthew Wycliffe, Jon Boydon and Eugene Massi as Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi respectively. Other continuing cast members include Charlie Bull, Mark Carroll, Michael Conway, Chris Gardner, Lucinda Gill, Trina Hall, Mark Isherwood, Stuart Milligan, Jake Samuels, and Ben Wheeler.
“Jersey Boys” continues at the Prince Edward Theatre where it is currently booking to Sunday 21st October 2012.
