With the blame pinned on him, Simba flees the Prideland and leaves his life behind and it will not be until many years later that he decides to return and face Scar once and for all.
Other new cast members in the production include Jose Alves, Cleveland Cathnott, Darcel Frederik, Jamie Golding, Aisha Jawando, Curtis Lee Scott, Wade Lewin, Francisco Lins and Momo Yeung.
London theatre Guide also reports that cast members Shaun Escoffery and George Asprey will remain in the production as Mufasa and Scar respectively.
