Nick Jonas had to adjust to Les Miserables
Taking to the stage in Les Miserables was a big challenge for Nick Jonas, the singer has admitted.
Although he is no stranger to treading the boards after he played the role of Gavroche in the Broadway production aged 9, the singer told the Daily Mail that he was nervous taking to the stage again eight years later.
He admitted that although Sir Cameron Mackinstosh had requested him to join the West End production of the show last year, he was concerned about performing to an audience so different to those he meets as part of the Jonas Brothers.
"For me, the nerve-racking part was really trying to get back in the theatre mindset," he told the newspaper.
However, the 18-year-old admitted that he overcame his fears and stated that it had been an "honour" to perform in the 25th anniversary show at the O2.
The role of Marius, which was played by Jonas, is now being performed by Alistair Brammer, who has previously acted in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
