Paul McCartney announces gigs to celebrate world tour
Paul McCartney has announced that he is to perform two intimate UK gigs this month to mark the end of his world tour.
The former Beatle and Wings frontman has revealed he will be taking to the stage at the London Hammersmith Apollo on December 18th, a venue that he first appeared at as part of the Fab Four on Christmas Eve in 1964.
McCartney will then be travelling back to his hometown of Liverpool to play a homecoming gig in the city on December 20th at the O2 Academy.
It will be the first time that the Maybe I'm Amazed singer will take to the stage of the venue.
The guitarist said that he is looking forward to experiencing a different vibe with these shows to the stadium gigs he performed earlier in the year.
"Christmas is the perfect excuse for everyone to let their hair down and rock out," he added.
During the summer the performer had played shows in countries including Mexico, Canada and Puerto Rico.
