Plan B to retire Strickland Banks character
Plan B has revealed that he will not release another album under the persona of Strickland Banks.
The chart-topping performer, real name Ben Drew, explained to the Daily Star that his alter-ego Strickland Banks is a soul singer who withdraws from reality after he is accused of a crime he did not commit.
However, keeping up this character is becoming hard for the performer, as Drew admitted people are beginning to get him and Banks confused.
The London-based 26-year-old said that once he has finished touring the Defamation of Strickland Banks album in 2011 he will move on to something new - and it could be an unexpected sound.
"It could be dubstep or reggae. We almost released a folk song," Drew told the newspaper.
The She Said singer is set to hit the road next March, performing at cities including Manchester and Plymouth, before finishing at London's O2 Arena.
