Priscilla Queen of the Desert extends booking
Priscilla Queen of the Desert is set to play in the West End for at least another year as it announces an extension to the booking period.
The musical, based on the 1994 film of the same name, will now be booking until January 7th 2010 following the huge success of the show with audiences.
Initially opening in the Palace Theatre on March 23rd 2009, the show follows a trio of drag queens as they drive a bus named Pricilla through the Australian outback and has received great reviews from the press.
The production is currently starring The Bill and Holby City actor Ben Richards in the role of Mitzi, with Don Gallagher taking on the part of Bernadette and Oliver Thornton performing as Felicia.
Directed by Simon Phillips, who worked on productions of Oliver! and Chicago in his native New Zealand, the show also features some incredible costume designs from Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner.
