Rival Schools gigs announced for the UK
UK fans may be delighted to hear that Rival Schools gigs have been scheduled for this year.
The New York group are set to hit Britain during April 2011 in support of their latest album, Pedals, which is due to go on sale the month before.
Scheduled to embark on a huge tour that will see them play shows for people with concert tickets across Europe, the four-piece are booked in to kick off their UK dates in London at the Electric Ballroom on April 15th.
They will then stop off in Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham before returning to the capital to play at the Islington Academy on April 19th.
Comprised of members of 1980s and 1990s bands such as Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today, Rival Schools originally got together in 1999 before parting ways in 2002.
Following a hiatus, they reformed in 2008 and are putting the finishing touches to their second record.
