Shoes musical dances to the West End
Shoes, a musical based entirely on people's love for footwear, is set to transfer to the West End next year.
The production, written by Richard Thomas and directed by Stephen Mear, had its world premiere in Sadler's Wells and following its success has been scheduled to move to the heart of London's theatreland.
Originally running for two weeks in its first location, the show which features new footwear-based songs will head to the Peacock Theatre for a run scheduled to begin on February 8th 2011 and close on March 13th.
Some of the highlights of the musical include a hip hop routine dedicated to a trainer obsessive and a Slovakian folk routine which is performed by dancers dressed in classic Hollywood inspired outfits.
Although casting has not yet been announced for the transferred show, audience members can expect to see 12 dancers, four singers and a live band on the stage to bring each performance to life.
