Stars turn out for gala premiere of Flashdance
A crowd of famous faces turned out for the premiere of new musical Flashdance last night (October 15th 2010).
Based on the 1980s film of the same name, the gala show attracted famous faces including Kelly Brook and Sophie Ellis-Bextor to watch Victoria Hamilton-Barritt take on the role of dancer and steel-worker Alex.
Another famous name attending was TV presenter Emma Willis, who headed to the Shaftesbury Theatre to see her husband Matt Willis, who found fame with boyband Busted, take to the stage for the first time as love interest Nick.
Duncan James, who also went from a pop career to the West End stage with his role in Legally Blonde, attended, as did Ali Bastian, who originally found fame in Hollyoaks before taking part in Strictly Come Dancing and appearing in Burn the Floor.
The show itself has been getting good reviews, with Michael Billington writing in the Guardian that it "brims with physical energy and is full of visual invention".
