Take That considered name change
Take That almost went through a total change of direction before their comeback as they had considered renaming themselves The English.
The 90s boyband, who have enjoyed chart-topping success and sell-out tours since reforming in 2006, thought about changing their name to have a fresh start.
But in their first interview as a five-piece since the return of Robbie Williams in Q Magazine, the band explained that they decided the stick with their original moniker instead.
"I'm guessing that the initial idea of not being called Take That freed Gary up," Williams told the music publication.
The new album, entitled Progress, is due for release on November 22nd 2010 and contains more upbeat tracks than ballads, with all of the songs created as a collaborative work between the different members.
Earlier this year, there were rumours that the band would tour again following the release of the album, although no dates have been released yet.
