Vuvuzelas banned for T in the Park
Organisers of the festival said that while they want there to be a party atmosphere, the artists on the bill must be respected.
DF Concerts also stated that vuvuzelas may be annoying to the thousands of ticketholders who want to hear the music.
About 85,000 people are expected to attend this year's T in the Park event, which features the likes of Muse, Kasabian and Eminem.
Vuvuzelas have divided opinion since the World Cup got underway earlier this month.
The South African plastic horns have been blown by football crowds constantly during every single match.
As a result, many viewers who are irritated by the sounds have complained to broadcasters such as the BBC.
Footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Patrice Evra have also criticised the use of vuvuzelas throughout the World Cup.
