Woody Sez show a hit with music lovers
The new Woody Sez show in the West End has been attracting fans of folk music to the Arts Theatre.
Based on the life and music of 1930s and 40s American singer Woody Guthrie, the production features a cast of just four performers who take to the stage to give their interpretation of the artist's experiences.
Each of the actors involved in the show is also a multi-talented musician, playing a total of 15 different instruments between them that range from the guitar and fiddle to more unusual items such as the jaw harp.
Woody Sez's organisers noted that the fun the cast have on stage performing songs including Jack Hammer John and This Land is Your Land is infectious and is sure to appeal to people who like the music of later artists including Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
The production recently opened at the venue for people with London theatre tickets and is scheduled to run until April 2nd 2011.
