The venue is found on Russell Street, which places it within near distance to venues such as the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the Aldwych Theatre, the Novello Theatre, the Duchess Theatre and the Lyceym Theatre, in addition to the Royal Opera House. Due to its central London location, which brings it near to the Strand, it is also near to a number of amenities one might expect to find in the centre of a city.
For those arriving by the London Underground, the nearest tube station serving the Fortune Theatre is Covent Garden, though Leicester Square, Embankment and Holborn are also in relatively close proximity. Meanwhile, for those arriving by the train, the nearest railway station can be found at Charing Cross.
Arriving by road will require visitors to utilise car parks such as the NCP on Drury Lane, whilst those arriving by bus will find that the theatre is served by a number of bus services and bus stops in the area.
In terms of disabled access, the Fortune Theatre does not feature an adapted toilet, though there is a toilet located near to Box A that has the best access to it. The theatre is also lacking in spaces for wheelchair users, who would have to navigate stairs. To get to Box A, visitors can access a side entrance from Crown Court.
For those hard-of-hearing, there is an amplification system in place and a loop system, with headsets and loop headsets available to visitors (twenty amplification headsets and five loop headsets). Whilst staff members are available to dog sit, guide dogs are not permitted into the auditorium.
