Access/ How to Get There
Wyndham’s Theatre is located on Charing Cross Road and is near to another venue constructed by W G R Sprague for Charles Wyndham in the form of the Noel Coward Theatre (then the New Theatre). It is also close to other West End theatres like the Duke of York’s and the Garrick Theatre, in addition to the London Coliseum at the bottom of St Martin’s Lane. Its central London location also places it near to the usual amenities one might expect to find.
For those arriving by London Underground, the nearest tube station takes the form of Leicester Square, though Covent Garden is also relatively nearby. For those arriving by train, the nearest railway station takes the form of Charing Cross.
For those making the journey by road, there are a number of bus services operating in the area, bringing audiences to, or close to, Wyndham’s Theatre. For those arriving by car, there is an NCP found at Bedfordbury and on Upper St Martin’s Lane, in addition to a council-run car park found at Cambridge Circus.
In terms of disabled access, there are two spaces for wheelchair users located in Box A, though those in electric wheelchairs or scooters will not be able to access them. There is also a maximum of two wheelchair users permitted during each performance.
For those that are hard-of-hearing there is an induction loop at the box office and an infra-red system in place with twenty headsets available for those that need them. An ID is required to collect them and they are available from Cunard Bar – at the bottom of the stairs that joins the foyer to the stalls. Meanwhile, for visually impaired guests guide dogs are permitted inside the auditorium, with staff members also available to dog sit.
