Access/ How to Get There
The Dominion is located at 268 to 269 Tottenham Court Road and its location in the West End means that it is near to many of the other theatres that make up the world famous Theatreland district in London. Nearby are venues such as the Bloomsbury Theatre and the Shaftesbury Theatre, whilst London’s Astoria was also situated down the street on Charing Cross Road. As it is the West End there are obviously plenty of amenities nearby, from restaurants and coffee establishments to shops and bars, making it a vibrant area in the capital.
When travelling to the destination, the London Underground stops at many relatively close stations, however the venue is located within close proximity to Tottenham Court Road station. The stop is found on the same junction in which Tottenham Court Road intersects with Oxford Street/New Oxford Street and as a result it is the tube stop at which audiences will wish to depart. The venue is then easy to spot with the large red lettering of its sign and its large poster for “We Will Rock You” above the entrance.
Those arriving by train will find the nearest station at Charing Cross or Euston whilst a number of buses also stop nearby. Those arriving by car will also find that the venue is a part of the Theatreland Parking Scheme, which means discounts for theatregoers (more information on which can be found on the Transport for London website).
In terms of disabled access, the venue is fitted with disabled toilets and is accommodated for use of wheelchairs, via lifts and spaces within the auditorium. The venue also has devices available to assist with hearing and allows access to guide dogs.
