Access/ How to Get There
The Ambassadors is located on West Street, which brings it within close proximity to its sister venue St Martin’s Theatre. However, the theatre is also close to other West End venues like the Arts, Cambridge, Prince Edward and Phoenix Theatre, in addition to the Donmar Warehouse. It is also in a central London location, meaning that it is close to all of the usual amenities.
For those arriving by the London Underground, the nearest tube station takes the form of Leicester Square. However, Covent Garden is also a relatively close stop. Meanwhile, for those arriving by train, the nearest railway station is found at Charing Cross.
For those arriving by road, there are a number of bus services operating in the area and the venue is also served by a number of car parks. These include an NCP at Upper St Martin’s Lane and at Bedfordbury, as well as the Westminster Council Car Park found at Cambridge Circus.
In terms of disabled access, the Ambassadors Theatre does not contain a disabled toilet, nor spaces for wheelchairs in the auditorium (due to the small size of the venue). However, transfer seats are available and they can be found on Row F in the circle (which is found up a flight of five steps).
For those hard-of-hearing there is an induction loop necklace which is suitable for those with a hearing aide (setting the aide to the ‘T’ setting). Meanwhile, headsets are also available for those without hearing aids and can be obtained at the box office for a £10 deposit. Meanwhile, blind guests are permitted to bring guide dogs into the auditorium.
