Access/ How to Get There
As one might expect from its name, the Shaftesbury Theatre is located on Shaftesbury Avenue in London, one of many theatres that are found in the area, including the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Others nearby include the home of We Will Rock You – the Dominion Theatre – and further examples like the New London theatre and the Phoenix Theatre. Its location within the bustling streets of London bring it within close proximity to various shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

There will be those travelling to the theatre via the London Underground and they have a choice of various tube stations to depart, with the nearest including the Tottenham Court Road stop found near the Dominion Theatre, or Holborn to the East of the venue. Covent Garden station is also located within the area, though it is slightly further away to the south. For rail visitors, the nearest train station is Charing Cross.

For those arriving via the road, there are a number of bus stops in the area, in addition to various services that will bring visitors to and near to the theatre. Meanwhile, car users may be able to utilise the Theatreland Parking Scheme for discounts, with details found on the Transport for London website.

In regards to disabled access, the Shaftesbury Theatre has disabled toilets located near boxes A and B on the Royal Circle Level, with spaces for wheelchair users also found in boxes A and B. However, guests are advised that they will need help in reaching theses spaces due to steps in the vicinity. Guests can also transfer to designated seats if they require.

For those hard-of-hearing, the theatre provides headsets to assist, whilst blind visitors will be able to bring their guide dogs inside the auditorium.
