The Duke of York’s Theatre is one of the London venues to feature less than 1,000 seats on 3 levels: The Stalls, the Royal Circle and the Upper Circle. The Stalls stretch from row AA to U with a maximum of 21 seats across. Beyond this the Royal Circle features rows stretching back from A to F, with a maximum of 23 seats across and the Upper Circle also featuring rows stretching from A to F and with a maximum of 24 seats across. This makes for a total of 640 seats on 3 levels.
Once patrons have passed through the main entrance and are in the foyer they will find the Box Office right in front of them. The Royal Circle can then be accessed on the same level, though its sloping-nature means that only row D can be accessed without using any steps. To get to the stalls, 20 steps lead down from the foyer, whilst 23 steps go up to the Upper Circle.
