Access/ How to Get There
The Charing Cross Theatre is located under The Arches on Villiers Street by Charing Cross Station. This places it near to various other West End venues, with the Strand to the north and Shaftesbury Avenue beyond. As such nearby venues include The London Coliseum, Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Prince of Wales Theatre, the Criterion, the Apollo Theatre and the Lyceum. Its location also brings it close to the usual amenities once might expect to find in a busy city centre.
For those arriving at the venue by train the nearest railway station is, of course, Charing Cross, which in turn is also the nearest tube station for those arriving by railway. However, there are other London Underground stops in the area, with Embankment just to the south and, at a stretch, Leicester Square to the north. Piccadilly Circus is also located to the North West, though this is also a little further.
For those arriving by road there are of course various different bus services operating in the area, though parking could be difficult for those arriving by car. There are, however, metered bays in the area.
In terms of disabled access the Charing Cross Theatre features a balcony on ground floor level, with the Stall located down sixteen steps, so the former may be best for those in wheelchairs, where removable seats are found for five wheelchair users. A disabled toilet is also located within the building.
For those that require a guide dog, they are permitted inside the auditorium.
