The Edinburgh Playhouse is situated on Greenside Place, at the top of Leith Walk and close to the east end of Princes Street. This is less than 10 minute's walk from Waverley Station, 5 minutes walk from the bus station and on various major bus routes.
The Edinburgh Playhouse is located at Greenside Place, on the roundabout at the top of Leith Walk in Edinburgh. This means it is near many local amenities, such as bars, restaurants and a cinema in the neighbouring Omni Centre. There are also nearby pubs, a comedy club and St James’s Shopping Centre, with Princes Street a couple of minutes away.
The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley, the closest entrance to which is found on the nearby Calton Road (just off Leith Street). There are regular bus services nearby as well, in addition to taxis that stop just outside the Omni Centre.
Up to eight wheelchair users can be admitted during a performance and users should contact the theatre in advance (contact details can be found below). Meanwhile, an accessible toilet can be located on the Circle Level of the Playhouse. Audience members should also contact this number if they need to bring a guide/hearing dog.
