Access/ How to Get There
The Adelphi Theatre is found on one of the most famous streets in London, the Strand, which makes it nearby to a number of amenities, transport routes and other West End theatres. Venues in the vicinity include the Vaudeville Theatre, The London Coliseum, the Garrick Theatre and the Duke of York’s, amongst others. There are also numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and bars in the area.
For those travelling to the Adelphi Theatre via the London Underground, the nearest tube station takes the form of Charing Cross, though Embankment is also nearby. However, its central location means that tube stations like Leicester Square are also relatively near, though a little further away than the former two. Meanwhile, Charing Cross also serves as the nearest railway station for those arriving by Train.
Various buses operate in the area, meaning that there is easy access to the Adelphi Theatre for those arriving via the roads. Meanwhile, there are also numerous car parks within proximity of the venue, including St Martin’s Lane Hotel at 45 St Martin’s Lane (with terms a conditions applying, particularly if you are not a guest at the hotel).
In terms of disabled access, the venue has a seating area in the dress circle (as well as spaces near the back of the auditorium, whilst there are no steps from the foyer to the stalls) for those with wheelchairs and there are also disabled toilets found within the theatre.
For those hard-of-hearing there are induction loops available to aide guests during the show, whilst guide dogs are permitted inside the auditorium for blind visitors. There are staff members available to dog sit as well (with a maximum of two at a time).
