The Other Palace

A trip to Palace Street in London will bring you face to face with one of the West End’s newest locations. The Other Palace (formerly the St James Theatre prior to February 2017) offers the chance to see new and exciting shows in an auditorium that seats more than 300 people.

Since the venue opened in 2012 it has been the host of shows like Bully Boy by Sandi Toksvig, which was the first seen at the venue in September 2012, Tell Me On A Sunday, which appeared in 2014 before transferring to the Duchess Theatre in the months that followed, and Urinetown The Musical, among others. Under the name The Other Palace it has since welcomed the likes of The Wild Party in 2017. Its relatively quick turnaround (for a West End theatre) ensures that audiences can find something new upon their next visit.

The designers of the building were Foster Wilson Architects and they have now contributed something to the capital that will likely entertain audiences for many years to come and they can stand by names like Bertie Crewe and W.G.R Sprague as architects to provide London with one of its famous venues. But the design is not limited to an eye-catching exterior, it also boasts some memorable interiors that will greet audiences upon their arrival.

The Other Palace offers something a little different than the usual West End experience and its reputation will only increase as the years progress. The home of exciting new homes, it will be a wonderful place to witness something unique and special.
