Hadestown - on Broadway

Age Restriction: Might not be suitable for younger children

The Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice was the subject of a concept album by Anaïs Mitchell earlier in the decade, giving the story a musical spin. After performances in London, the hit musical transfers to Broadway and has become a runaway success. So, if you want to catch one of the latest musicals to cause a stir, you’ll want to book your tickets to see Hadestown.

Combining two Greek mythic tales, Hadestown is a theatrical education in ancient Greece. Young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone invite you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. With doubts against nature, faith, fear and love, take on a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.

Hadestown is one of many Tony Award-winning productions from 2019 running on Broadway. Stephanie J. Block continues to wow in The Cher Show, while Santino Fontana lights up the stage at Tootsie. But, if you’re looking for a deeper journey into the underworld where ancient stories are brought to life, you’ll want to book your tickets for Hadestown.
