With inspiration taken from a BBC documentary, Everybody’s Talking about Jamie has really got everybody talking! Although it’s only been in the West End since 2017, it’s become a firm favourite of many theatregoers, with its upbeat music and positive messages told throughout. So, if you’re looking to find yourself on a musical theatre journey, or you just want to see one of the newest shows in town that’s received rave reviews, then you’ll want to book your tickets now because you’ll want to be talking about Jamie!

Set in a high school in Sheffield, you’ll meet Jamie New and his classmates. They’re boisterous yet lovable and they’ll draw you in with their charming personalities. As they settle down, their careers teacher Miss Hedge asks them what they want to be when they grow up, to which Jamie replies he wants to be a drag queen.

Over the next two hours, you’ll see Jamie face prejudice and judgment from People around him, yet his friends and family help him build up his confidence to make his dreams come true and walk into his high school prom in the dress he’s always dreamed of.

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a home-grown British production, first performed at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. As the show was developed, the real life Jamie and his mum were involved in watching the show multiple times as well as visiting rehearsals to make sure that the musical was as true to real events as possible. The result is a brand new West End sensation that will leave you wanting to strut in your heels and enjoy a night out at the theatre!
