First performed on Broadway in 1992, Falsettos will be staged in the UK for the first time at The Other Palace later this year. Originally created under the spectre of the AIDS crisis, this ground-breaking musical about family dynamics manages to remain buoyant and satirically perceptive even as it moves towards its heartbreaking conclusion. So, if you’re looking to see a West End premiere that’s rooted in modern topics, you’ll want to see Falsettos.

The double Tony Award winning Falsettos is a hilarious and poignant look at a modern family revolving around the life of a gay man Marvin, his wife, his lover, his soon to be bar mitzvahed son, their psychiatrist, and the lesbians neighbours. This unique family structure is anything but happy, however everyone’s adamant desire to be positive serves as a timely reminder that love is the most beautiful thing in the world.

The Other Palace has been home to brand new musicals in the UK; Heathers The Musical transferred to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in late 2018.

Casting for the UK premiere of Falsettos stars Natasha J Barnes, Daniel Boys, Gemma Knight-Jones, Joel Montague, Laura Pitt-Pulford and Oliver Savile.

Falsettos was nominated for 7 Tony Awards.
