The “Ice Age” movies have been a popular force in cinemas since the original movie hit the big screen in 2002, spawning sequels such as “Ice Age: The Meltdown” and “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” (plus a fourth, “Ice Age: Continental Drift”, hitting theatres in 2012). Now there is another reason to believe in the growing popularity of this franchise as “Ice Age Live” hits Wembley Arena in a show entitled “A Mammoth Adventure”. For fans of Manny, Diego and Sid it will be an unmissable event as they head off on a whole new adventure that will stick in the minds of audiences for years to come.
It hits Wembley Arena, a venue that has welcomes an array of well known theatrical events over the years, with more – such as “Disney on Ice” and “Walking with Dinosaurs” – set to land in the next year as well. So “Ice Age Live: A Mammoth Adventure” has found a fitting home.
The show is directed by Guy Caron, who is known for delievering shows such as “Dralion” and “Ka” for the Cirque du Soleil, in addition to numerous other productions for companies such as the École nationale de cirque de Montréal and beyond. As the first Artistic Director of the Cirque du Soleil in the 1980s he has many decades of experience to bring to the stage.
