This October the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue will become the home of Idina Menzel as the Broadway star performs here for just under a week at the beginning of the month. As part of a trip to the UK that will also include performances in Edinburgh and Manchester, Menzel will be performing many songs from Broadway shows that have made her name, pop hits and brand new tracks. For any fans of her work, which includes shows from “Rent” to “Wicked”, they will surely be in for a treat when they pick up theatre tickets.

As mentioned, Menzel has appeared in both “Wicked” and “Rent”, with the latter appearing both on Broadway and the West End’s Apollo Victoria Theatre. She has also appeared in various other Broadway and off-Broadway shows, including “The Wild Party”, “Hair”, “The Vagina Monologues” and “See What I Wanna See”, among others. Meanwhile, audiences in the capital also had a chance to witness her work in “Chess” at the Royal Albert Hall.

In her concerts at the Apollo Theatre she is joined by a 25-piece orchestra to bring new life to songs that have made her career. For fans of musical theatre classics it is not one to be missed.

Idina Menzel performs at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue from Monday 8th October 2012 until Sunday 14th October 2012.
