Seasons Of Love

Important Info: Doors open at 7.00pm

Seasons Of Love will undoubtedly offer a unique and compelling experience at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane early in 2015 as the Associate Director of the London Olympics closing ceremony presents a story of love.

The performance is a world premiere and offers audiences a music and dance spectacle that is likely to leave a lasting impression. Gareth Walker directs and provides choreography whilst Brendan Larrissey composes and develops it. Mark Leddy, meanwhile, provides the songs. The result is likely to be an awe-inspiring experience as they utilise music, dance and more to bring a thrilling story to life.

The story is set in modern day Ireland and it is here that we are provided with an exploration of love as three romantic stories are played out against the four seasons of the year. Utilising music and images it will provide a sensory audio-visual experience that includes body mapping and video amongst other impressive techniques.

Gareth Walker, in addition to working on the London 2012 closing ceremony has worked as a choreographer and director on some impressive shows, including performances by well known pop stars like Madonna and Steps. He has also performed on an array of television programmes and as a backing dancer with some big names. Meanwhile, composer Brendan Larrissey is a well known fiddle player who has performed around the world.

The West End welcomes some interesting one-off performances this year, including Explosion UK Tour at the Lyric Theatre, and adds Seasons Of Love at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane to the list on Sunday 1st March 2015.
