Latest Review: "Bring back the knee slapping pantomimes of yesterday. This was really poor. The only two bright note..."

This Christmas audiences will have a range of options at their disposal when it comes to seasonal shows. The capital is home to a plethora of productions for the whole family, ranging from annual treats like The Snowman to various other kids’ shows plucked from the pages of a popular novel.

Another option for audiences, on the other hand, is the traditional pantomime at the London Palladium which this year takes the form of Snow White, with Dawn French amongst the performers taking to the stage. With a great cast and popular Brothers Grimm tale, Snow White will be one of the big talking-points this Christmas.

Snow White is the fairest of them all, and this means that the Wicked Queen is hot on her tail. But before she finds her, Snow White happens upon the Seven Dwarfs.

Along the way, audiences will find everything that they have come to expect from the world of pantomime – hilarious moments, great songs, pop culture references and more. It will make for a great time out in London’s West End.

And the presence of Dawn French will only add to this. A veteran of the UK comedy scene, working with Jennifer Saunders as part of the French & Saunders double act and starring in the hit sitcom The Vicar Of Dibley, she is a national treasure. But in addition to her high profile television work she has previously appeared in the West End for her comedy work and in shows for the Royal Opera House.

And now she stars in Snow White along with other names like Josh Bennett, Flavia Cacace-Mistry, Julian Clary, Simeon Dyer, Nigel Havers, Craig Garner, Ben Goffe, Jamie John, Blake Lisle, Andrew Martin, Vincent Simone, Paul Wilmot and Paul Zerdin.

Snow White begins its run at the London Palladium on Saturday 8th December 2018.
