Latest Review: "My daughter and I enjoyed the show so much,a brilliant show.I was a fan of Tommy Steel and always..."

The London Coliseum in London’s West End continues to draw in some spectacular shows as 2018 continues, this time turning its stage over to Tommy Steele for this musical celebration of his icon Glenn Miller, providing Steele and Miller fans alike with an unmissable experience.

Steele credits Miller for providing the inspiration that eventually paved the way for his own career and so The Glenn Miller Story honours him, providing an entertaining evening at the Coliseum as he belts out his biggest hits and ensures the legacy of an icon endures in London’s West End.

Miller was a big-band arranger and performer whose work has become legendary, with his recordings of Chattanooga Choo Choo and Little Brown Jug surviving the test of time. His career was at its peak in the late 1930s/early 1940s, not many decades before Tommy Steele emerged with his own career on British stages.

For The Glenn Miller Story, Steele will be the one to hit the notes of songs like Moonlight Serenade, showing his fans that he remains a force with which to be reckoned even now, decades after he emerged as a teen idol in the 1950s.

The Coliseum is usually the home of the English National Opera and Ballet, but recent years has seen it stage some high profile musicals as well, with 2018 also bringing Kiss Me Kate, Notre Dame De Paris and On Your Feet. Recent years have also seen it stage Bat Out Of Hell The Musical and Carousel, amongst others.

Now it is the turn of Tommy Steele to make a big impression, however, as he presents The Glenn Miller Story at the London Coliseum from Friday 6th July 2018.
