A Tony Award winning show, The Light in the Piazza will be performed at the Royal Festival Hall for a London first. Whisking audiences away to the sun-kissed lands of Italy during the 1950s, the show has already wowed audiences and looks set to entrance British audiences when it plays this Summer. So, if you want to witness a Broadway hit at the Royal Festival Hall, you’ll love The Light in the Piazza playing for just 20 performances. That’s right, 20! Don’t miss your chance.
The show tells the story of Margaret and her daughter Clara as they find themselves in Florence in 1953. Whilst there, a young man falls for Clara, meaning that Clara and her mother must confront secrets from the past that threaten life in the present.
Starring up-and-coming television superstar Dove Cameron and opera soprano Renée Fleming, The Light in the Piazza is sure to be an operatic sensation that will leave you in awe. A lavish production with music set to be played by a 40 piece orchestra, sink into the romantic score and fall for the entire show, as The Light in the Piazza will change your life.
The cast for The Light in the Piazza includes Disney star Dove Cameron and opera soprano Renée Fleming who are both making their West End debuts in this production, as well as Alex Jennings who will play Signor Naccarelli.
Rob Houchen, Celinde Schoenmaker and Liam Tamne will also star in the show.
The Light in the Piazza was first performed on Broadway in 2005.
