The Rocky Horror Show

When audiences think of the highest profile musicals in town there are many answers that come at the top of the list, with the likes of The Phantom of the Opera and Cats amongst the big hitters. However, one of the biggest ones of all has to be The Rocky Horror Show, the fantastic and iconic musical that blew audiences away in the 1970s and now returns to the West End for a week of shows before embarking on a UK tour.

Set in a large house, The Rocky Horror show introduces us to the characters of Brad and Janet, who happen upon the property inhabited by the mysterious Dr Frank N Furter, who has just unveiled the latest project the terrify the world around him.

Along the way, there is a wealth of other iconic characters, all of whom have made a lasting impression on audiences since the show first emerged so many decades ago.

And for this new West End run, The Rocky Horror Show recruits the help of original writer Richard O’Brien, who has previously starred in the musical as well (albeit many decades ago). As a result this will be an unmissable treat for fans when it runs at the Playhouse Theatre.

O’Brien has fans around the country, not only for his success with The Rocky Horror Show but also for the popular 90s game show The Crystal Maze, which still has its fans today. His other big West End credit includes Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palludium.

So get  ready to do the Time Warp again when The Rocky Horror Show returns to the West End for a brief run of performances from Friday 11th September 2015.
