Best production I have seen since seeing original West End show at Her Majesty's Theatre back in the 50s with Chita Rivera- the best ever Anita. I was 11 years old and the show and the music has stayed with me ever since. This was excellent and interesting that, unlike earlier productions, this was predominately American/latino cast.

2 small suggestions. First- Bring back the overture- it sets the musical scene and creates the right starting atmosphere. Without it the opening dance sequence can struggle to have a real impact. Second, put some dirty shirts on the gang members for the second half- they have just been in a fight not shopping at Bluewater Finally, does anyone know why the film didn't include the Somewhere ballet sequence? Thanks once again I am hoping to get tickets for another show before it ends.
