Parents looking for a great West End show for kids this summer will have a wealth of options, like this fun adventure heading to the Lyric Theatre from July.

Heroes take many different shapes and sizes but few will expect a tiny ladybird to lead the charge when a farmer’s livestock is in peril! But this is exactly what happens in What The Ladybird Heard as two robbers get more than they bargained for.

Their sights are set on the farmer’s cow and they think this will be an easy steal, but once The Ladybird catches wind of their plan things are going to take another turn.

But it’s not just the memorable characters that make this a West End treat. Audiences can also rely on great storytelling as this is based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks. Theatregoers might recognise the name Julia Donaldson as the author behind The Gruffalo and other titles like The Gruffalo’s Child, Room On The Broom, The Scarecrow’s Wedding and Stick Man, amongst others. Many of her stories have been adapted to the stage and young West End theatregoers can’t get enough of her work.

So What The Ladybird Hears will be a fantastic opportunity for young minds to sit in the impressive auditorium of a West End theatre and witness a captivating and memorable show.

What The Ladybird Hears runs at the Lyric Theatre from Wednesday 5th July 2017 and continues through the summer.
