A Guide For The Homesick

The Trafalgar Studios 2 in London’s West End welcomes this new play from Ken Urban, which takes audiences to Amsterdam for an evening of soul searching, secrets, eroticism and confession.

It stars Douglas Booth as Jeremy and Clifford Samuel as Teddy and they are both strangers in Amsterdam separately and are both looking for different things. They are unalike and neither are home, but when they end up in a hotel room together it could be a time of soul searching and confessions.

It will be a compelling play from a writer who has already found success with thought-provoking and interesting narratives on both sides of the Atlantic. Ken Urban has previously staged work at the Donmar Warehouse and various venues in New York and beyond. So his presence of writer of this new play at the Trafalgar Studios should ensure plenty of attention for the production as it heads to the Whitehall location.

So too will the presence of performers Douglas Booth and Clifford Samuel. Booth is known for his work on the big and small screens, from Pride & Prejedice & Zombies and Jupiter Ascending to And Then There Were None and Christopher And His Kind. Clifford, meanwhile, has appeared in In The Blood at the Finborough Theatre, Statement Of Regret at the National Theatre and the film Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.

So catch them both in A Guide For The Homesick when Ken Urban’s new play runs at the Trafalgar Studios 2 from Tuesday 16th October 2018.
