A story of marriage comes to the stage of the Trafalgar Studios 2, not only granting London theatre audiences the chance to experience a new play from a playwright with a growing reputation, but also the opportunity to see two acclaimed performers live onstage. Harriet Walter will appear in Boa alongside her husband Guy Paul as they take us on a story of love through the decades as written by Clara Brennan.

Boa focuses on the characters of Belinda and Louis, both from different countries, whose thirty year relationship is explored affectionately onstage, with their own personal stories playing out alongside political conflict.

Harriet Walter has appeared in numerous shows over the years and has also entertained audiences with film role in the likes of Atonement, Bright Young Things and The Young Victoria, among others. She has been nominated for Laurence Olivier Awards on numerous occasions (winning in 1988 for RSC productions of Three Sisters/Twelfth Night and A Question Of Geography), whilst examples of her work have included Antony And Cleopatra for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Mary Stuart at the Apollo Theatre, Women Beware Women at the National Theatre and Julius Caesar at the Donmar Warehouse.

Meanwhile, writer Clara Brennan is a rising star whose work has been seen at the Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Such productions, plus her award-winning status, have cemented her as someone to keep a close eye on in years to come.

Boa appears at the Whitehall venue following shows such as Sikes & Nancy, Miss Havisham’s Expectations and Donkey Heart. It runs from Monday 9th February 2015 (previews from Thursday 5th February 2015).
