A brilliant powerful production. The gilt coloured scenery is a wonderful image of how truth is so often covered by a rosy pictured false impression of it. The golden costumes again hide the truth but at the end the nakedness symbolises the reality of the situation. The fireworks may be noisily festive, but actually accentuate the seething tempers of the protagonists. Surely everyone in the audience feels exhausted at the end of this exuberant production.

What a car crash....How can any reviewer give this four stars? Is everyone so blinded by Sienna Millers looks and glamour they can't bring themselves to admit she's a second rate actress? No depth to her portrayal, strutting around the stage like a teenager. O'Connells accent is atrocious. Even Colin Meaney is hard to decipher. The whole production is weak and messy. They all looked rather lost in the final family showdown....

The set is ghastly- just doesn't frame the production in any sense. If it wasn't for my friend I would have walked out. Torture.
