Pinter 6: Party Time / Celebration

The penultimate production making up part of the Pinter at the Pinter season is Pinter 6. Arguably one of the greatest British dramatists in modern times, it’s worth making a visit to the Pinter at the Pinter season at least once. Between the two shows, actors are only on stage for an hour. But you’ll be left thinking and talking about the one act plays for a long time. So, if you’re looking to see a comedic play that still questions how people view and fashion themselves in society, then Pinter 6 is the show for you.

Full of faux-riches, Party Time is set right in the heart of central London. While friends talk of wealth that most people can only dream of, those walking on the streets show a different side of reality. Conflicting disorder and comfort create an unsettling reality, where rebellion is inevitable.

Partnered with Party Time for Pinter 6 is Celebration. When six people dine together at a fancy restaurant, it’s clear that the meal won’t be an enjoyable night out for everyone. Trying to be a hostess with the mostess doesn’t go down well with the group, as interactions between workers and diners make for a hostile environment.

The Pinter at the Pinter season celebrates the life and career of Harold Pinter who passed away in 2008. From long, drawn out pauses to types of characters, we’ll leave you to find out what makes a Harold Pinter play as you book your tickets to Pinter 6.
