This is the story of Peter Pan as you have never seen it before, with new characters with different backgrounds interacting in Never Land in an enchanting and memorable story that will have all members of the family glued to their seats.

The story of Peter Pan and The Lost Boys was inspired by a group of boys of the Llewelyn Davies family, whom J. M. Barrie met in the late 1890s. Early works inspired by them included The Little White Bird, but it was Peter Pan, Or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up that became Barrie’s best known work.

George Llewelyn Davies, the oldest of the Llewelyn Davies children, died during the First World War in 1915 and this version of Peter Pan imagines soldiers of that war being transported to Never Land, giving a new perspective on Barrie’s tale and honouring those that lost their lives during that Great War. As a show that appears during the centenary of the final year of the First World War, this will be a worthy addition to the Open Air Theatre’s summer line-up.

Peter Pan utilises stunning visuals, great performances and memorable puppetry to bring life to Barrie’s Never Land and ensure this remains one of the most talked-about productions of the summer.

The show, from the Open Air Theatre’s Artistic Director Timothy Sheader and West End and National Theatre regular Liam Steel, also appears in a great year for Regent’s Park, which welcomes the likes of Little Shop of Horrors, Dinosaurs Live and As You Like It, amongst others, during its summer 2018 season.

Peter Pan appears at the venue from Thursday 17th May 2018.
