The acclaimed comedian Ruby Wax returns to the capital with her latest show Sane New World, an opportunity to explore a topic that will be very familiar to fans of the popular artist – the human mind. It is a follow-up to her previous performances in the capital, including 2011’s Losing It, and is bound to leave a lasting impression on audiences hoping to see the show in 2016.

Wax recently completed a Masters degree that has equipped her with knowledge on the topic of mindfulness and the result is this show that delves into the mind and its inner workings, ultimately helping us to unravel its mysteries and intrigues.

Wax needs little introduction, particularly as she has been a staple of comedy scene since the 1970s, appearing in a wealth of television programmes, stage productions and films, whilst also finding the time to pen novels, launch websites and do what she can to promote better mental health. As such she is perfectly suited to bringing her knowledge and performance style to the Arts Theatre. Audiences might know her from her work in shows like Absolutely Fabulous, The Waiting Game and her breakthrough appearance on The Secret Policeman’s Third Ball, amongst others, though she has also worked as a stage actress as well.

In addition to Losing It, which ran at the Menier Chocolate Factory and the West End’s Duchess Theatre in 2011, she also previously presented Sane New World on a tour of the United Kingdom and at the St James Theatre in London.

Now it plays at the Arts Theatre from Tuesday 19th January 2016.
