The fifth production in the Pinter at the Pinter season at the Harold Pinter Theatre, enjoy a night out in the West End seeing some of the best plays written by legendary British playwright, Harold Pinter. Over the course of the performance, you’ll see 3 full one-act plays with messages and themes throughout that resonate perfectly with today, even though these plays were written from 1957 to 1982. So, if you want to see performances from esteemed British actors that bring well-known texts by Harold Pinter to life, you’ll want to be a part of the Pinter at the Pinter season at Pinter 5.

Pinter 5 begins with a performance of The Room. First seen by audiences in the late ‘50s, we meet Rose and Bert as they interact with each other in uneasy situations. The story will take your breath away, as well as the long pauses that hold tension and keep you second-guessing.

Secondly, you’ll get to see Victoria Station. When a taxi driver refuses to pick up a potential passenger, we find out more about why he doesn’t want to take another job. If you want to peer behind the driver’s seat, you’ll have to book your tickets to find out more about why Victoria Station carries this elusive status.

Pinter 5 culminates with a performance of Family Voices. Starting out life on the radio, hear characters grow up and find out about themselves through a series of letters. Listening to the voices will make for a haunting experience that will stay with you forever.

It took Harold Pinter between 2 to 4 days to write The Room and was first performed at the University of Bristol.

Family Voices was first broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in 1981.
