The Shark Is Broken

Think you know what goes on in Jaws? Think again! Giving audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the 1970s classic, the critically-acclaimed The Shark is Broken transfers to the Ambassadors Theatre. Asking what happened in the making of the Hollywood blockbuster, Jaws star Robert Shaw’s son, Ian Shaw writes a stand-out drama that’s set to make waves in London.

On Cape Cod in 1974, shooting on Jaws has stalled. The cameras aren’t rolling anymore and the film’s lead actors - Robert Shaw, Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss - are stuck on a boat. Frustrated by foul weather and fuelled by alcohol and ambition, three great white sharks start to bare their teeth... and everything changes. Parts nailbiting and parts hilarious, what happens with the great whites in The Shark is Broken.

Ian Shaw writes and stars in The Shark Is Broken, following in his father, Robert Shaw’s footsteps who played Quint in Jaws.

Demetri Goritsas and Liam Murray Scott play Roy Schieder and Richard Dreyfuss respectively.
