Latest Review: "Has to be one of the best pieces of theatre I have seen in over fifty years of going to the theatre...."

A talented cast heads to the stage of Trafalgar Studios 2 on Whitehall as Ticking is performed under the direction of its writer Paul Andrew Williams.

The playwright has also worked extensively as a screenwriter and film director and as a result already has fans ahead of this West End production. However, audiences have various reasons to be flocking for theatre tickets as the show features Anthony Head amongst its cast members.

A former star of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Head is part of a cast that also includes Niamh Cusack, David Michaels and Tom Hughes.

Head and Cusack play mother and father to Hughes’ character of Simon in Ticking. The latter is locked away in a Chinese prison cell where his crime was the murder of a prostitute in the local area. Time is running out for Simon to face a secret from his past, with his lawyer (Michaels) making attempts at his appeal and his parents visiting him in prison.

Performer Anthony Head’s role in Buffy The Vampire Slayer means that he is well known on both sides of the Atlantic. Here in the UK he has also accumulated credits in the likes of Merlin, Little Britain, You Me And Them and Dominion, amongst others. Prior to his appearance on the stage of Trafalgar Studios 2 he has also found theatre experience in the likes of The Rocky Horror Show at the Duke of York’s Theatre in the 1990s.

Paul Andrew Williams’ Ticking runs at Trafalgar Studios 2 on Whitehall from Thursday 8th October 2015 (previews from Tuesday 6th October 2015).
