What does it mean to be different in society? What does it mean to commit a hate crime? First staged at the Hampstead Theatre in 2000, Vincent River tackles what it means to be the victim of a hate crime. Performed across Europe and America, don’t miss your chance to see this critically-acclaimed play return to the West End. So, if you enjoy seeing off-West End productions brought into a central London theatre, as well as seeing some of your favourite television stars on stage, you’ll want to see Vincent River.

Set at a rundown flat in Dagenham, audiences meet Anita, an elderly woman mourning the death of her son Vincent, who was killed in a homophobic attack. During the play, she meets Davey, a man who claims to know a great deal about how Vincent died, leaving Anita curious.

With hate crimes rising considerably in recent years, Vincent River offers audience members the chance to see real-life consequences of shocking actions portrayed on stage. Looking at what it means to act upon impulses, you’ll want to act on the impulse to book tickets for a new show and head to Trafalgar Studio Two to see Vincent River now.
