Built in 1910 and first named the Globe, the Lunt-Fontanne was renamed in 1958 to commemorate Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. When the theatre was first opened, the building had a retractable roof, which could be used to open up the venue and keep cool during the summer months.

There is no dress code for performances at the Lunt-Fontanne. Latecomers are allowed in convenient seat locations at the discretion of management.

Looking for refreshments at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre? There are two bars located in the venue, where drinks and snacks can be purchased.
