Opened by the Shubert brothers in 1921, the Ambassador Theatre is currently home to the longest-running musical in American history. The theatre is designed in a diagonal fashion to accommodate more theatregoers to each performance. Used as a movie theatre from the 1930s, the theatre reopened in 1956.

There is no dress code for performances at the Ambassador Theatre. Doors open 45 minutes before the performance, and it is recommended to arrive 15 minutes prior to curtain up. Latecomers are allowed into productions at the discretion of show breaks or management.

Looking for refreshments at the Ambasssador? Drinks and snacks are sold at the theatre’s bars.
