With 1,702 seats, the New Amsterdam Theatre was the largest venue when it was opened in 1903. During the Great Depression, the theatre closed to make way for the building’s use as a movie theatre. In 1997, the venue was opened by Disney and has remained one of Broadway’s biggest theatres.

There is no dress code for performances at the Imperial Theatre. Latecomers are allowed in at the discretion of management.

Looking for refreshments at the New Amsterdam Theatre? Drinks and snacks are available at the bars located inside the venue.
